Al's Run & Walk 2012

Al's Run & Walk is over for another year!  

We raised $830 this year, bringing our 6 year total to $4,070.00 !!!!  

Thanks to everyone who has supported this cause with us over the years :)  

It means a lot.

 6:15am, boys are all set to go - for some reason they decided to wake up REALLY early (5:15).

 School bus ride - Jack was excited!

 We stood and watched the band for a while - I think it put Jayden in a trance......

 Jack fell asleep mid walk and woke up just as we passed the finish line.  He needed a rest at some point today after being up so early and this was the best time to do it.

 We made it to the finish!  

(And the shirt design turned out awesome - check out those stars!  Nice job Katie)

 Lunch time - this year's was chicken salad, pasta salad, grapes, and desserts.

The boys mostly ate cookies, chocolate covered raisins and fruit snacks for lunch......  

They were very well behaved all morning though.

Jack's 1st Packer Day at school!

Yesterday morning we made a handprint flower pot for Jack to give Mrs. Skalla and Jayden to give Mrs. M. to thank them for a great start to the school year :)

They are really cute - I'll have to have them make me one sometime too!

Jack's First Day of School!!!

Jack had a great first day of 4K!  He got up and ready in the morning with no troubles & played with some stickers before leaving - always fun :)

 New backpack, new shirt...  he's all set!

I dropped him off at the door with the teacher aides, said good-bye, and he walked right in to Mrs. Skalla's line!  He said he had a great day.  He made a block tower, had cheese and chips for snack time, played outside, and made lots of new friends (but forgot their names)!  And he walked to Mrs. M's house great after school :)

I've been waiting for the first day for so long, I almost forgot we have to do it again tomorrow....  :)

School is almost here!!!

 All set to take his school supplies to our "Ready, Set, Go!" conference yesterday morning!

 While at Jack's conference his teacher gave us some homework...  a project to go along with the book "The Kissing Hand".  She sent home a copy of the book and a blank hand print cut-out to decorate with notes and pictures for Jack.  They will get to hold the hand if they are ever sad at school and miss their mom & dad :)

Bike Ride!

This morning the boys & I took a bike ride to Rotary Park to play for a while before lunch.  Jayden did pretty well in the bike seat (he hasn't been in it too often this summer) but he was a little whiny about having his helmet on.  Jack did great riding along next to me!
