Fire Station Open House!

Last night we went to a Fire Station Open House here in the Falls.  We got there right away so it wasn't too busy yet and the boys could climb around the trucks easily!

 We got to watch the big ladder go up!

 All Jack wanted was a new fire hat and a balloon.  He got a hat - he hoped for red, but they only had blue this time.  So both boys got balloons & hats and a cookie and they shared a juice box.  We sat outside on the grass to look at the trucks and eat the snack before going home.  It was a beautiful evening!

But as soon as we got home and walked to the driveway from across the street Jack let go of his balloon and started SOBBING!  It was quite a site to see - which is why I had to take a picture.  He was sad for a long time...  he even tried to take and pop Jayden's balloon.  But after calming down, Jayden decided he would share, so they took turn holding the other balloon until bed time.  What an ending!

Tonight the boys were devouring a piece of ham for dinner!  

Then they showed me their big, strong muscles :)
