Nice Weekend & Summerfest

Here are a few pics from this past weekend (sprinkler fun, time with g&g B, first "bigger" haircut) and Monday afternoon at Children's Fest Day at Summerfest.

Sprinkler fun in the backyard, once he got used to it we all had a blast

Relaxing with Grandpa after his afternoon nap on Sunday, and a busy afternoon of bike riding and playing at the park

Picnic lunch at Village Park with grandma and grandma and auntie Katie
(mom ended up with hives from sitting in sap on this picnic bench :( not fun at all)
Hair Cut Time, it was getting a bit long in back... even though it was sooo cute! No major cut yet though, we can't lose all the beautiful blondness!

It's HOT

Well, I guess summer has arrived! We're in the middle of a "heat wave" and I(Laura) love it!

Last Saturday (hottest day of the year so far) we were swimming in the pond, Jack did pretty well in the water, and definitely loved the sandy beach.

And Monday we went strawberry picking. YUMMY!!! Jack loved the sun-warmed strawberries in his mouth. However, he liked to take the berries out of the basket as we were busy putting them in, oh well, it was a very fun afternoon! Unfortunately in my rush to leave the house after Jack's nap I forgot the camera, so no pictures of strawberry covered faces (Jack's & Mine).

Hoping we survive another hot day today.

Me diving into the pond !!!
Jack enjoying his new little pool on a very hot day.

Getting ready for the his first swimming lesson with mommy! It was really fun.

Enjoying some sandy play in the backyard.

When's summer coming to stay ?!?

Jackson LOVES to play outside, we've had a few nice days, but we are still awaiting much more summer-like weather so we can get in some water!
Jack's all ready with his life vest! (He's almost giving a "thumbs up") He can't wait to get in some water time. Last week we got all the water and sand toys ready for the beach - in hoping that would make the warm weather come faster.

But when it's too cold to go outside, some pots and pans are always fun! I have to ask Jack to borrow "his" kitchen tools whenever I need to make something now.
