The Big Backyard!

This morning we took the boys to "The Big Backyard" in New Berlin to play. It is a large warehouse space with a jungle gym and all kinds of toys - like you would have in your backyard! Jayden absolutely LOVED it, Jack did well too, but I thought he'd be a little more excited. We played for a little over an hour. I'm glad we got there soon after it opened, because when we were leaving it was getting really crowded.

They both liked this "pirate ship" area :)

Jayden loved driving the cars and bikes and throwing balls around :)

There were lots of little houses to play in :)

Jayden loved the slides too - they were really fast!

Just having fun...

with new toys & in new clothes :)

New Spice Rack!

On Monday afternoon Jeff built me a set of shelves to put in my spice cabinet to hold all my new Penzey's jars so nicely so I can see everything! It took a few hours, but luckily the weather was nice to he could do most of the cutting & assembling out on the driveway. And it looks great! :)

Scooter time!

Jack was very excited to try out his new scooter that Santa brought him - and luckily since it's been relatively mild this week and there is no snow, he had a chance to play with it outside on Monday afternoon! He loves it :) But now it is put away until spring.

Christmas Day!

At 9am we headed over to B's for the rest of the Christmas celebrations. We started right away with more gift opening! The boys both had lots of fun and Jack was pretty good at waiting his turn.

The boys got lots of really nice trucks!!!

Gag gift! Jeff got these hospital shorts from him parents and he regifted them to Hayden.

My new winter coat, scarf & gloves. I'm all set for winter now.... too bad there's no snow and it's not that cold out!

More trucks!

Auntie made both boys new winter hats.

Snow shovels, not we have 3 - no more fighting over our one from last year....

now the boys need some snow!

Jack played with all the new toys while the rest of us ate a lovely Christmas brunch. Jack didn't eat much of anything except Christmas cookies on Christmas Eve or Day.... but it was Christmas, so I let it slide.

Getting ready to eat.

After breakfast the boys got out the playdoh that they brought from home to play with.

They just can't seem to get enough of that play-doh!

Jeff trying out Katie & Joe's Kinect games.

Around noon everyone else came over the Christmas Day. Jack had lots of fun playing with Carolann and Marlo. He played really nice, most of the time. I didn't seen him much all afternoon, he was too busy with all his new stuff!

Jayden took another nice long nap in the afternoon and actually slept through our early Christmas dinner, which was nice for me. He woke up just in time for dessert.

More presents! Play-doh :)

We came home around 5pm, unpacked everything and then the boys took a nice bath and played until bedtime! They were exhausted.

Christmas Morning!

We had a wonderful Christmas morning! Jack woke up around 5:50am which isn't at all unusual. I got him cleaned up while Daddy was getting dressed and then I woke Jayden up a few minutes after 6am. The boys were very good and waiting nicely until it was time to start opening!

Santa Came!!!

Jayden & Jack both got a bucket from Santa with a bunch of smaller presents in it :)

Jayden got the Tangled DVD!!!

Jack got a DVD too - Chuggington!

The boys got a large Aqua Doodle mat to share. Jack also got a scooter, a t-ball stand, slippers, and some clothes. The boys got lots and lots and lots of play-doh, some sidewalk chalk. Jayden got a little ball that glows in the dark.

And then the big mystery gift.... Jeff made me a Penzey's Spice Crate! It is amazing and awesome :)

After all the presents were opened and somewhat cleaned up, the boys started in on the new play-doh toys right away :)

We played at home for a little while with all our new goods and then packed up for our Christmas Day celebrations at B's later in the morning :)

-----

It was our best Christmas morning ever!

Christmas Eve!

Christmas Eve we went down to Racine. We were there most of the day, we played outside a little bit & by a fire in the lodge. Jack had lots of fun with Chase & Jillian.

The pond isn't frozen enough to walk on yet.
Jayden checking out the new fort!

Game time!

We made snowman & reindeer bell necklaces for the kids :)

Jack & Grandpa checking out all the presents under the tree. There sure were a lot!

Jayden & Jack got to open stockings from Grandma & Grandpa before dinner.

Grandpa's first gift was a bag of dirt, and then Jack opened one too. We told Jack if he was naughty he'd get a bag of dirt for Christmas from Santa.

Jack's dirt bag.

Let the present opening begin!

We all received many nice gifts from everyone! It was a wonderful Christmas Eve :)
