Thanksgiving Break!

Jack had a wonderful Thanksgiving break home with mom and dad. Mom was home all week, dad had school all day monday and part of Tuesday. On monday, Jack and I did some Turkey-day crafts and then a few errands. Tuesday we just hung out at home all day. The nights are long without daddy at home :(

Wednesday we were home to enjoy the day before Thanksgiving. We decided to get our Christmas tree since we would be busy the rest of the long weekend. We got a steal of a deal on a Frasier at Menards :) It is beautiful. The bottom half of is a little sparse of ornaments, only a few nonbreakable ones remain - because Jack absolutely LOVES the christmas tree! He's broke a few... but hopefully we have all the glass ones up high enough or removed by now... that boy is really tall !!!

We also spent lots of time baking is past week. Jack helped me make apple pie, pecan pie, cranberry cake and yesterday we made A LOT of christmas cookie dough to put in the freezer for the coming weeks. (It's so much easier to do the dough first and then the cookies closer to when they are needed!) Jack loves to help mom bake :) My sweet helper.

Today was back to school and daycare. Jack did surprisingly well at Miss Cathies - I was afraid he'd freak out when I dropped him off and cling to me. But he just walked right in the door and started playing with his favorite toys. He had an excellent day back with all his friends. My little boy is growing up :(

I'll add pictures from the holiday soon.

On to Christmas... ho ho ho...

Christmas Pictures - Part 2

A little over a week ago on a nice Saturday afternoon we took Jack's Christmas picture out in the backyard. He was pretty cooperative - for an 18 month old :) We got a cute one with his puppies. Jack loves to look at it on the side of the fridge, because he LOVES his puppies !!!

We hope everyone enjoys it.

Christmas Pictures - Part 1

This past Sunday we got together with the B's at Oakwood to take our family Christmas picture. It was a little cold, and cloudy. But at least it wasn't windy, and it didn't take too long :) With a toddler and two dogs this was the best one, I think....

It looks like a winner to me!

After we finished Jack had a great few minutes holding Hershey's leash. Hershey is such a good dog for Jack!
Here they are watching Uncle Hayden climb the fence... it was very intriguing to boy and dog alike :)

Soon it will be time for our Christmas picture of Jack... stay tuned...

18 months!

Jack is 18 months old today!

We had his check up at the doctor this afternoon and it went great! Jack weighs 26pounds 3ounces (50 percentile) and is 34 inches tall (that's the 91 percentile!!) He's a tall one. And he grew A LOT since his last check up at 15 months.

He's babbling and climbing like crazy and he's REALLY into dogs!!!

Last week we gave Jack a Christmas gift early (really early) but he was getting kind of restless in the evenings and needed something..... so we got him a play tent with a tunnel. It is awesome :) And he loves it. It was bought as a basement toy but so far it's in the living room. He sure loves taking all his treasures, and dogs, inside it to play!

That's it for now :)

Trick Or Treat!

Jack had a great time Trick or Treating last night!

We started off by going over to grandma and grandpa B's to show off Jack's puppy costume and grab some treats.

Then we went back home and went up and down our street. There weren't too many houses participating this year, but that was ok because it was a little chilly and Jack had a cold so we didn't stay out too long. Jack got some M&M's, Smarties, animal crackers, cookies, and crackers! He loves to eat them all (luckily he hasn't finished them yet!)

After we came in Jack kept his costume on until bed time and helped daddy hand out candy at our dorr. Everytime someone came to the door Jack ran away with a huge grin on his face :)
