Fun with Grandma & Grandpa!

Last night Jack stayed over at Grandma & Grandpa B's so mom and dad could go out to celebrate our 5th Anniversary a little early, since Baby J will be arriving just before our actual anniversary on July 16th.
While we wined(Jeff) & dined at Buca's, Jack had fun at Summerfest with Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Hayden and Hayden's friend.
They spent some time getting wet in the fountain because it was such a warm afternoon. Jack loved it of course.

Jack also enjoyed some Dippin' Dots, which he loved (who wouldn't on a hot day!)
AND he got to play in this bouncy ball jumpy thing.... which he LOVED!!!

What a great afternoon of fun things Jack got to do!!! Here he is with G&G ("Cappy" and "GG")by the lake.

And here's Jack this morning, sitting with his game boy and his puppy. What a cutie :)
Jack ate good and slept good and had a wonderful sleepover adventure! Thanks G&G B!

Bike Rides!

Last week Jeff moved Jack's bike seat off of my bike and onto his (not an easy job) since I won't be riding this summer.

Jack has loved to take rides around the neighborhood with daddy.

Extreme Outdoor Potty Training, Day ???

We've been taking a laid-back approach to potty training.... but the other day, I don't remember exactly when, it may have been last week Tuesday we were out playing on the driveway and Jack started to pee and I asked his where the pee-pee goes, and he said potty, and sat down, and he actually peed!!!!
Then he got to have an M&M and flush it down the toilet (his two favorite parts of the process). YEAH, Jack :) And check out his cool Cars underpants!

All done!

Father's Day!

Yesterday was Father's Day! We got Jeff some solar lights for the yard a few weeks ago, so he's already been enjoying them. Jack also made daddy a garden stone with his foot print on it and a nice card.

We didn't have much planned for the day. It started cloudy and cool but then got really sunny and warm later. We did a few errands in the morning, came home for a nice picnic lunch and some time spent working in the garden (for Jack and Jeff).

After Jack's nap we headed over to G&G B's for dinner. Jack had fun running around with Hershey, Cesar and Brutus. We relaxed on the patio in the sun for a while with some mojitos (& lemonade for Jack and me) and then had a nice dinner of kabobs and lots of desserts!

Standing by the tree we got Grandpa B for Father's day... Jack wasn't too into picture posing.

First day of Swimming Lessons!

Last week Thursday night was also our first swimming lesson of the summer! I

t was a little rough since Jack was so tired from swimming at the pond all day... and taking a later & longer nap.... but he did pretty well.

He really clung to me for the first half, but then loosened up a bit. He really wanted to play with the toys and go down the slide (which they don't use until the second half of class). He did great on the slide.

Jack has the same teacher as last year (she remembered him!) and this year he's one of the oldest in the class. We are looking forward to next week - and we hope the pool water is a little warmer!

All Set to go!

Fun Day of Swimming at the Pond!

Last week Thursday we went down to Jeff's parents house for a day at the pond. The morning started a little cool, with a cool wind off the lake, but Jack and daddy still had lots of fun in the water in the afternoon.

Jack wore his bubble suit for the first time and it seemed to work really well. He was in and out of the water a lot on his own. Jack also had tons of fun playing in the sand and water with Chase and Jillian.

He was playing so nice I didn't put him down for an afternoon nap, but as soon as we were in the car at 2:30 he was out like a light and even after we got home and he woke up for a few minutes, he slept in the living room for another hour!

Another Zoo Trip!

This morning we went to the zoo again! It was our first trip with daddy since before Easter! The weather was cloudy, but not too cool or windy. We saw lots of animals. Jack walked (or ran) almost the entire time :) He did great. He loved the peacocks.

We went on our first train ride today! Jack seemed a little unsure the whole experience during the ride, he just kind of stared out the window. But he definitely didn't not like it! And after we got off he wanted to go back on... so we know he enjoyed it.

Next time we will try the carousel and the petting zoo... and we'll try to see that lion again. Today we missed him again :(

Jack is now sound asleep in his bed - so it was a successful trip!

Enjoying a nice picnic lunch outside before leaving for home (and nap time)!

Strawberry Picking!

On Sunday morning we went Strawberry picking out in Mequon! It was a cloudy, cooler morning, but not too bad for working in the field :)

We picked two crates full, our usual haul... Jack had a great time - but unfortunately had to be taken to the car with mom halfway through because he was having a bit too much fun running through the strawberry patch. He doesn't quite understand the concept and "sitting in the straw and picking (or just eating)". He did eat quite a few though and came home with strawberry stained clothes and shoes!

Our adventure took about two hours total, and once we got home Jack played outside with daddy while mom started washing, cutting and freezeing all those berries! And of course there was the strawberry cake to make..... Jack sure enjoyed that. yummy!

Update on the Past Week

This past week the weather was a little cooler and little rainier, but we still had some fun!

On Tuesday morning Jack and I went to the zoo. He had a great time! There were tons of school kids there for field trips - so Jack had fun trying to follow all the "boys" around. And his favorite animals were the lions (the big one roared right in his face! ...through the glass...) and the peacocks who were huge and loud and everywhere :) Jack walked the whole time we were there, so afterwards he took a great nap - which was good for me because I was wiped out too!

Thursday night daddy was busy after school for the evening, so Jack and I went over to G&G B's for dinner and some play time outside. Jack had fun playing in the yard and chasing Hershey around. And Jack can say "Hershey" now, it's very cute!!!

Friday afternoon (after the rain stopped) we went over to daddy's school to play at the park while he was outside with his kids doing some games and activities. And we got to go inside and see daddy's classroom! (Jack was pretty shy around all those big kids)

Friday night it was beautiful outside to we played in the backyard a bit before heading in for the night.

Saturday we hung out at home. Jack helped mommy do some indoor things and daddy do some outdoor things - and he refused to take a nap.... :( But overall, he was pretty good all day.
Jack "helped" me put the crib back together for baby J!

This week is daddy's last week of school! Jack and I will hopefully get to the zoo once this week.... and we'll find some other things to do as well. I hope it's nice and sunny :)
