Peanut Butter!

Last night Jayden would not eat his dinner... but then he ate 2/3 a piece of pizza with the rest of us! This afternoon he would not eat his lunch (baby spaghetti) so I made his some little peanut butter cracker sandwiches - he ate them all up!!! He seems to have turned a corner in his eating habits :) :)

Fun morning at the park!

Stickers as Motivation !?!?

Jack potty training seems to have stalled... it's very frustrating. He doesn't wear diapers anymore - but some days he barely used the toilet at all either :( :( :( :(
-----
So this morning he helped me make this chart to hang on the fridge. When he wakes up clean & dry or when he pees in the toilet he gets to put a small sticker on the chart. If he poops on the potty he gets to put a BIG sticker on. If he pees or poops in his pants or on my floor he gets a big black X.
-----
So far today he has two small stickers.... (and one riped chart because he can't stand still)
-----
Here's hoping....

We love Tangled!

Jayden pointing to his favorite princess!

He's in awe...

Over the past two weeks I think we have watched Tangled at least 100 times.... ok, maybe not 100... but we do watch it at least once a day! Jayden loves to dance to the music :)

And here's Jack cooking me some dinner while we watched Tangled.

A new stroller!

On Monday afternoon I took the back seat off my double stroller to convert it to the sit & stand mode. Now Jack has a bit more freedom in the back seat - he can sit or stand! Since we usually don't go on long walks with this stroller where Jack would need to be restrained and seated all the time, I thought I'd give it a try. So far everyone seems to enjoy it :)

Blankie Repairs!

Yesterday while playing outside I noticed one side of Jack's blankie was coming apart - so we went right inside to fix it!

I was going to put blankie binding around the whole thing - but that would have been a lot of work, and since my sewing machine doesn't work (still) I decided to just use threat to patch the holes... it worked well, just like the corner I fixed a year or so ago!

Jack and his blankie - of course he wouldn't give me a good smile.

After I took Jack's picture, Jayden wanted his too - he posed so nicely :)

B'Haven Weekend!

We spent our last summer weekend up at the B'Haven. We had beautiful weather and lots of fun :)

The boys ran right to the sandbox after we arrived on Friday afternoon. They played very nicely together while I unpacked.

A christmas picture, maybe....

Saturday morning the boys found out that it is lots of fun to play in the dog kennel (with no dogs in it). Jack was pretending he was a puppy and Jayden was having lots of fun opening and closing the door.

Jack and Daddy helped Grandpa do lots of small jobs around the yard and garage! Jack loves to help out.

The boys raking the dirt.

Jack also helped Grandma pull weeds from the water. He did an excellent job!

My boys :)

Jack went with Daddy and Grandpa on a kayak trip to the sandbar on Saturday afternoon. They took some food for lunch and paddled out to the sand bar where they ate and did a little bit of swimming. Jack had a great time!

All set to go :)

After they got back from their kayak trip, Grandpa put Hershey in for a little ride.

I did a little kayaking around the dock area too.

Jack practicing his paddling, on land. He loved to play on the kayaks.

Heading out on a boat cruise and another trip to the sandbar on Saturday afternoon.

The main sandbar was very busy and full, so we stopped at this smaller one. It was a little bit deeper, but the boys still had fun.

For dinner on Saturday Jayden ate half a bowl of macaroni & cheese :) he ate a little of Jack's the night before so I made him some and he enjoyed it! He has been eating much better the last two weeks or so... hopefully that continues.

Before the rest of us ate dinner on Saturday, Daddy took Jack for a walk down the road and he fell asleep! That boy was very very very tired (he didn't have a nap) from all the fresh air, hard work, and water fun!

After dinner we went to a nearby farm to see some Yaks grandpa wanted to show Jack.

Jack and I by the Yaks, and their electric fence!

Jack helped Grandma build this campfire on Saturday evening.

Enjoying the fire after a busy, fun day at the lodge! We had a great weekend at the B'Haven and look forward to going again in the fall :)

Last summer day at the pond...

On wednesday we went do to the pond. It was out last regular summer weekday trip. Hopefully we'll still get some nice weekend in September to get out and play in the water.

Today was beautiful. I think it hit 90* and was sunny all day. The boys had fun playing in the water and riding all the fun tractors - including Grandma & Grandpa's new "toy" - a big Gator! Both boys LOVED riding in it.

Boys & Trucks!

Last week while down at the pond the boys had lots of fun climbing and "pretending" on all the tractors, mowers, and other assorted vehicles in the garage :)

Jack taking Chase for a spin on the go-cart... while Jayden loads it up with gas in the back!

Jayden's turn to drive :)

Boys on the big tractor.

Jayden at home playing with all the cars and tractors - those are his favorite toys lately!

Jack's Afternoon Out!

Yesterday afternoon Grandma Michele came over and said she wanted to take Jack to have some fun for the afternoon. Jack was very surprised to have Grandma get him up for his nap and then he got his blankie, puppy and his car seat all set to go and they were off! I think Jack was a little unsure of what was going on - he had just woken up and doesn't usually leave home in Grandma's car by himself! But I could tell he was excited.

They went to a few stores to do some errands and to a park where there was an art show going on, and they saw "the falls". Jack had a nice dinner with Grandma & Grandpa and was back home around 6:15 - just in time for bathtime with Jayden :)

-----

It was a very quiet afternoon without Jack around, Jayden seemed a little out of sorts at times - I'm sure he missed his big brother! But we were all glad Jack had a nice afternoon adventure! Thanks Grandma :)

State Fair!

The boys and I went to State Fair again this year with Grandma, Uncle Hayden, and Uncle's friend Connor. It was a beautiful day and we had lots of fun :)

They boys wore their BIG BRO, LIL BRO shirts! This was the first time Jayden wore his - and it didn't seem too big, maybe he's packed on a few pounds in the last month.... ???

We started the fair with a few cup of 25cent milk. I like to get Cherry Vanilla and Chocolate and drink them together so it's kind of like neoploitan ice cream... Jack drank a little of both, but liked the chocolate better.

The boys looking at some chickens.

Jayden enjoying a snack while walking around.

Jack & Grandma

This was the first year I tried the $2 grilled cheese sandwiches in the Wisconsin Products Pavilion - usually I just get some cookies or ice cream in that building. It was DELICIOUS :) Jack shared it with me. I offered some to Jayden, but he just turned his head away - like he did with all that great food at the fair. That child doesn't know what he is missing!!!

Jack and I went down the giant slide again this year! It was lots of fun. As soon as we got off he said "can we do it again?" I said I'd love to - but not for another $4. Next year maybe Jayden will take a ride down it too!

Jack sharing a bite of Grandma's Cream Puff.

That is a REALLY BIG TRACTOR !!!

We stopped to watch this comedy/variety/kids show for a little while in the afternoon. Jack enjoyed it. The guy did lots of silly things.

Grandma told Jack if he went potty as we were starting to head out she would treat him to a corn-on-the-cob. This is Jack waiting, with the giant ear of corn behind his head! He thought it was funny :)

We shared the corn - it was delicious!

Jayden finally fell asleep around 2pm while we were watching the UW Marching Band perform (even though he was tired LONG before then) he slept for a good hour and woke up just as we were walking back to the car.

Soon after we finished the corn and were walking out Jack melted down - he was tired!!! He screamed in the stroller for a while on our walk back and then started to fall asleep. And soon after we drove away he was sleeping - and woke up at home a much happier person :)
