Sick / Crab Day

Jayden got sick in the car (twice) on the way to daycare this morning... so we had to turn around and come home. So Jayden was home sick and Jack was just a crabby crab annoying crab all morning :(

But they did help me clean - I scrubbed between the kitchen floor tiles with a toothbrush and they dusted the furniture for me :)

And we played outside for about 45 minutes because it was such a GORGEOUS day! I put snowpants & boots on the boys only to keep them dry - it was plenty warm in the sun.

After lunch we played play-doh and now it's nap/quiet time. Jayden is still coughing, but seems to be sleeping as well. Hopefully he takes a nice long nap!

Sunny Saturday in the Snow!

Yesterday we went down to the pond to play in the snow for a little while. After we got there Jeff & I ran out to do a few quick errands while the boys stayed to play with Grandma & Grandpa, then after lunch we headed outside, along with Uncle Greg, Chase & Jillian. The boys had fun walking around in the snow, and daddy got to try his ice skates out on the pond. Jack hadn't been feeling well the day before and was still a little "off", but he played nice. After we came in Jayden and I played while Jack took an hour long nap on the couch before we packed up and headed home.

Fingerpainting!

Last weekend I took the boys to JoAnn Fabrics with me so I could get a Teacher Discount Card (who knew such a thing existed??? I didn't... and I've been paying 15% more than I needed to for a long time!) anyways.... I let Jack pick out a few art/craft supplies & projects while we were there. One thing we got was Crayola fingerpaints! I opened them up for the first time last night to let Jack try them out.

"Can I fingerpaint too?"

No, sorry... maybe when you're bigger - or we can be outside so I don't have paint getting on everything.

Doesn't Jack look cute in his little apron? And his robe? :)

Jack didn't quite get "into" it as much as I had expected.... we'll try again. Maybe he just didn't really know what he was suppose to do.... He did keep trying to make "handprints" ! (Which is all he's done with paint in the past!)

Build-A-Bear Adventure Day!

Jayden got a gift card for Build-A-Bear for Christmas from G&G B, so the boys & I headed to the mall this morning to make some bears!

Jayden choose a dark brown puppy and Jack choose a brown teddy bear (I couldn't take Jack to a place like that and not get him one too, he loves his animals so much!!)

Jack getting his bears heart ready to put in.

Giving their new friends a bath before they go home!

Making out the birth certificates!

Eating some sandwiches before cookie time at the mall... we had to get a Mrs. Fields!

YUM!

Not sure if any of that cookie went into his mouth....

Big Hugs :)

and of course, the boxes are more fun than the toy :)

B'Haven Weekend!

The boys and I went up to the B'Haven last weekend while Jeff was on his ski trip. The boys were very good and had lots of fun :)

Jayden enjoyed climbing on the bear-chair to turn the fireplace on & off.

Running off some energy in the freezing cold basement.

Jack helped Grandma make belgian waffles on Saturday morning.

They were yummy!

Heading out to sled!

Grandpa making Jack a sledding run...

On Saturday we took a drive up to Rhinelander and saw some cool stuff....

like the Schwalbe's totem pole...

and Taco Bell (the boys had never been here before...)

they didn't eat anything, but still had fun.

The Hodag :)

The Wabeno Logroller

Saturday afternoon Jack decided he wanted to pull Grandpa in the sled.... he tried and tried, but it didn't work too well (especially since he was "pulling" him into the pier).

Trying out Uncle Hayden's snowshoes.

That was hard work!

Jack was worn out after that day of fun!

Play-doh after dinner.

Playing "fireman" :) They played very nice together.

Thanks B'Haven for another fun weekend, until next time.... :)
