Garbage Dump!

This afternoon my friend from school, Jeni, emailed to ask if the boys & I wanted to go on a "field trip" to the Wauwatosa Garbage Dump a friend of her's had set up.  I said Sure!  We were there for about half an hour, it was SUPER hot outside, especially standing on the blacktop of the parking lots by the trucks.  But they boys had fun.  They got to see a few different garbage trucks & dump trucks and got a turn to climb inside and be pretend drivers.  There were maybe 8 other kids there, so it was a good size group.

Adventure Time!

This afternoon after the boys woke up from their naps they went over to G.G. & Cappy's house to have an adventure!  

2 hours later I got this picture emailed to me.....  They went to the Lake Front!  

I hope they are being very good and all having lots of fun :)

Sunday Morning Hike!

Last week Jeff & Jack took a walk/bike ride over towards the river & Lime Kiln Park and since then Jack has been wanting to go back and hike along the river paths.  This morning it wasn't too hot out early so we drove over and parked behind Dairy Queen and started out adventure!  Jack called it "exploring".  The boys both had lots of fun, and it tired them out for nice long naps after lunch :)

Racine County Fair!

On Friday morning we went to the Racine County Fair with Grandma & Grandpa, Chase and Jillian.  We saw LOTS of tractors and farm animals.  Jack had lots of fun, Jayden wasn't feeling well so he just sat in the stroller and watched everything very quietly - poor boy :(

Sick boys :(

Both boys got sick this week :(  

Jack started feeling not so well on Wednesday afternoon after a day of swimming at the pond, he had a mild fever and was just tired, & cried a lot on Thursday.  He didn't sleep well either.  

Then on Thursday when Jayden woke up from his afternoon nap around 3pm he was a little warm and started up the same symptoms...  

Thursday night both boys fell asleep on the couch while we were cuddling at 6:30pm.  Unfortunately they then woke up at 4am Friday morning and never went back to sleep.

On Friday we spent the morning at the Racine County Fair with Grandma & Grandpa S and Chase & Jillian.  Jack did well, until the end when he started to get a little tired & crabby.  Jayden just sat in the stroller the whole time eating crackers.  He had no interest in the tractors or the animals...  :(

Today Jack seems all better, but Jayden was still warm and hasn't eaten much all day.  Hopefully by tomorrow he'll be on the mend.

Stollenwerk Family Picnic

On Sunday afternoon Jeff's parents hosted a picnic for the Stollenwerk side of the family.  

The boys had lots of fun swimming & eating....  they could have been better behaved, but that's what happens in the late afternoon/early evening after a day with no naps.

It was hot, but partly cloudy - so could have been much hotter!!!

 Jayden was fascinated with the coolers full of ice - he ate some and played with cups full.

 Grandpa took all the kids (there was a lot!) on a hay ride to candy land - they all came back with treats and had LOTS of fun.
