Zoo Day!

Today I had off school, and earlier in the week I had thought of taking the boys to the zoo but then it was so cool outside this morning I wasn't going to.  So we did some stuff around the house and then went to Aldi's and a few other places for some quick errands - but the boys were SO crazy I decided to go to the zoo after all!  We left about 10:15 and got home around 11:45.  We saw the penguins, the ape, fish, and small mammal buildings, rhinos, peacocks (of course!), elephants and the giant buzzard.  We did one loop and then left as soon as the boys started asking for food (I didn't bring lunch this time, only juice for the car ride home).

We we came home we had a picnic lunch outside in the sunshine and now it's naptime!  All that running at the zoo tired them out good  :)

 These are always fun....  although I'm not sure when, I've never put money in them...  must just be the wild colors.  Or that Jack's feet need a break....  Today when we were half way to the zoo in the car Jack looked behind his seat and said "mom, you forgot the stroller!!!"  I said, "no I didn't, we're walking!"  his reply... "oh".

Dentist!

Jack and I went to the dentist on Tuesday afternoon, and darn it I forgot my camera!!!  

He looked so so SOOO cute sitting in the chair with the sunglasses on and the "bib" thing on.  He was so good.  It was amazing.  He sat there really nice next to me while I had my teeth cleaned first, and he was talking to the hygienist...  Then when it was his turn he hopped right into the chair and was really really good.  He got his teeth all shined up with some strawberry (!) toothpaste.  Unfortunately he has two cavities :(  The one on the bottom I knew about, but there is a really small one starting on the tooth directly above the other one...  so he has to go back in June to have those fixed.  Hopefully that works out well.....

When we were leaving Jack got a new Dora toothbrush and a toothbrush travel cover, and some special kid flossers, and a toy!  And then we went across the street to the Dollar Tree Store where he picked out 2 things as well - a recorder and a lightning mcqueen jump rope :)

Jack's New Space!

On Sunday Jack & Daddy moved Jack's drawing desk up from the basement to Daddy's computer room and set it all up with paper, pencils, crayons, markers, scissors, etc!  

For the the past year or so the desk has been empty, in the basement, and abused by climbing, wild children.  

And since Jack is getting more into drawing, and wants some space away from Jayden - now he has his own spot to work and his stuff is where no one else can touch it :)

Bird Houses!

When Jack & I were at JoAnn's on Sunday looking for some birthday party supplies, we found these wood bird houses for $1 so we got 2 to bring home and pain!

 The boys had a great time :)

The boys has lost of fun playing outside yesterday - it was a beautiful spring day, not so windy!!!

More garage work....

We have been working on the garage ALL week!  Grandpa Gene was over on Monday to hook up the electrical and get some stuff at Menard's with Jack & Jeff.  Jeff primed and painted it all on Tuesday and today Jeff put up all the shelving, hooks, etc. while I helped clean and organize.  What a job!  But it looks great, and is ALMOST done :)

 On Monday afternoon the boys were WIPED OUT!!!  I kept trying to wake them up for an hour, but they wouldn't budge!

It looks SOOOOO  nice and clean :)  I can't wait until the new floor and driveway are in as well!

Easter Brunch!

Egg Hunt, Easter Baskets, and Brunch at Grandma & Grandpa B's :)

Easter Morning!

This morning we had an egg hunt at home. The boys found their baskets and lots of candy filled eggs. Then they played with the Easter themed sensory bin for a while before it was time to head over to G&G B's for brunch.

Easter Bunny!

Yesterday afternoon while Jayden was napping Jack and I walked over to Sentry to see the Easter Bunny. Jack sat on his lap for a picture and then we walked around the store to different areas where they were giving the kids treats. And at the end Jack decorated 2 Easter cookies - one for him and one for Jayden :) It was lots of fun.
