Jack is so excited for Thanksgiving when he can hand them out to all his favorite people... he keeps asking "Is it party day yet for chicken hands?"

(He means "Thanksgiving" and "turkey hands"!)

Raking!

Yesterday we enjoyed a beautiful Saturday outside in the sunshine! We raked lots and lots of leaves in the backyard :)

Daddy throwing Jayden in the pile... he liked it!

Throwing Jack in the pile... he didn't like it so much...

Jumping!

Jack went with Daddy to Menards in the morning, and they came home with a new sled for winter! However, it is also useful for moving leaves :)

Fill it up boys!

More Snow Flurries!

Jack was eccstatic when he saw snow falling again this morning! We were baking cookies, and he looked out the window and said "mom, it's snowing again!" I didn't believe him and said "no, it's not snowing anymore" (I thought it was suppose to be sunny today) But there was snow. So he ran for his boots and mittens and out he went while Jayden and I finished the cookies!

Jayden's first look at snow this year! (he was napping during yesterdays flurries)

Jayden decided it would be fun to sit in....

Shoveling the grassy snow

"I like this little shovel!"

The boys had a great morning playing outside before school. After I picked the boys up this afternoon, while we were driving home Jack looked out the window and said in a sad voice "I miss all my snow!" :( I told him we'd get lots more eventually.....

First SNOW Flurries!

We got our first snow flurries of the season this afternoon!

"it's in my face!"
"it's on my arm!"

"can I shovel it yet???"
-----

When I get Jack up from his "quiet time" this afternoon it was snowing outside! Not sticking yet, but it came down pretty good for about 30 minutes or so and then lighter for another 30min. Of course Jack went right for his new snow boots, winter jacket and then out to the garage for the shovels! :) I told him there wasn't enough snow to shovel, but we could "shovel" leaves instead! So we did for about half an hour.

Mmmm! I love s-getti!

Working and Watching!

After Jack's quiet time in Sunday afternoon daddy was working on his computer while watching football - so Jack got his computer out too! Aren't they cute :)

Fall sure is Fun!

Yesterday we went down to the pond to visit Grandma & Grandpa S and to have some outside fall fun! It was a nice day... a bit cool to start, but the sun was shining :)

Grandpa had a bon-fire already going when we arrived, so we played by that for a while. Jack had lots of fun playing with sticks and dead tree branches in the "forest" (as he called it). Then Auntie Megan, Chase and Jillian came over to play for a while and have lunch. And we all took a hayride (twice) in the trailer hooked up to the Gator - both boys loved it!

Checking out the hay in the trailer before the hayride!

Jayden loved the bumpy ride :)

Just call him Farmer Jack!

Both boys had lots of fun and came home exhausted :)

Trick-or-Treat!

The boys had soooooo much fun trick-or-treating!!!

We started out the morning by trying on the Halloween costumes (to make sure the puppy would wear his!) They had lots of fun playing in costume in the basement :)

All set to go out! Jack took a very nice nap in the afternoon because I told him he needed lots of energy to trick-or- treat so he needed to GO TO SLEEP! And he did :)

The boys played out in the leaves in the front yard before trick-or-treat started. Then we headed over to see Grandma B and Uncle Hayden.

Puppy Jayden was a little more interested in the Smarties in his pumpkin, than in walking & having his picture taken....

After we got home from Grandma's I took the boys around out neighborhood. We were headed toward Miss Cathie's house, because Jack wanted to she her his costume. We hit all the houses on the way then visited with Cathie for a few minutes then got some more houses on the way back. I carried Jayden most of the way as he munched on Smarties...... Jack did great! He walked/ran all on his own and after every house he said "where do we go trick or treat next, mom?" And at each door he said "trick-or-treat" and "thank you!"

-----

After we made it back to our house, daddy took the boys down the other end of our street while I handed out candy. We ended up having 96 trick-or-treaters come to our door, and we gave out almost all of our candy.

"Show me all your candy!!!"

And here's Jack trying to decide which piece to have before putting all the candy away for the night. Such a decision!!!

Jayden had some M&M's and Jack had a peanut butter cup as they "calmed down" while watching Caillou.

Daddy's Pumpkin.

Jayden trying on Jack's costume later in the evening. He was running around crazy on a sugar-high!

The boys helping dad hand out candy toward the end of the night.

-----

The boys did really great and had lots of fun. It took a little while to get them both settled down at bedtime. But then we all slept really good :) And Jack woke up this morning and said "can we go trick-or-treating again today?" Too bad we have to wait until next year....

B'Haven Fall Visit!

Last weekend we went up to the B'Haven Lodge! We left home Friday morning and came home around lunch time on Sunday. We had a fun 2 days! And the weather was perfect for fall :)

The boys on our arrival... I was trying to get a good christmas picture... but they wouldn't not both look up and smile while standing in the correct spot, at the same time. Oh well.

We got up there a few hours before Grandma & Grandpa since we wanted to leave home earlier in the day. The boys were good on the drive and then we played outside all afternoon. Daddy decided to chop some wood for a campfire.

Jayden found the sand table stashed away under the partially demolished deck! The boys had lots of fun playing in it all weekend.

Jack and I enjoying some tea after dinner on Friday night.

The boys helping daddy set up Friday nights campfire. Jack loved helping with and being around the campfires. He would have liked to have one going all weekend long!

Sunggling with my boys before bed :)

Jayden is getting more comfortable around Hershey lately. At least he doesn't burst into uncontrolable tears if the dog looks at him!

On Saturday we spent most of the day outside. Daddy & Grandma and Grandpa were cleaning up the boat in the garage. The boys enjoyed sweeping pine needles off the driveway.

Saturday night - cooking some meat over the fire!

Another attempt.... not good - camera battery is pretty much shot!

On Saturday afternoon Grandma & Grandpa took the boys to the nearby zoo. They saw lots of animals and baby tigers!

Grandpa being silly for Halloween :)

Boys sitting in front of a lion... or tiger... I'm not sure.

Saturday night Jack crashed on the couch with Grandma. He had a very busy day (& no nap!).

Before leaving on Sunday morning Grandma helped Jack make a log cabin with the new Lincoln Logs.

We had a nice drive home Sunday morning and enjoyed a quiet evening because everyone was so exhausted!
