Leaf playing with Auntie!

This afternoon Auntie Katie came over to play with the boys for a while before we all went to Village Park so she could take some family pictures of us and then we all went out to Culver's for dinner.  Jayden decided not to nap again :( :(  but he had LOTS AND LOTS of fun in the leaves instead.

Sunday Fall Fun!

This morning the boys & I took a cool walk though Village Park to look for some nice colorful leaves for Jack to take the school on Monday.
 The trees were beautiful!
 Exploring on the paths.
A little play time before we left.
 my cuties :)
This afternoon we made some turkeys with some leaves from our backyard.  It was lots of fun - the boys LOVE using glue!
They might not last until Thanksgiving, but they sure are cute!!!

Leaves!

Jack has been asking to rake leaves for weeks and we finally have enough to make a decent pile.  So I took him out this afternoon while Jayden was napping...
"Mom, It's too cold out here to rake leaves."
Jack's teacher asked the kids to bring in some leaves on Monday so we were looking through our pile for the best ones!  We found lots :)
Jumping time - he had warmed up by now and was much happier!  We ran & jumped and ran & jumped and ran & jumped some more :)

I buried him!!!

Jack at the Dentist - Part 2

Jack had he second (and final!) appointment to the dentist yesterday afternoon to fill the cavities on the right side of his mouth.  And the deepest one wasn't too close to the nerve so he didn't need another root canal - yippy!!!
So his recovery has been MUCH MUCH MUCH better this time around.  He was a little tired when we got home but since then he's been fine.  He actually fell asleep while the dentist was working on his last tooth.  And the dentists said Jack was (once again) the "best 4 year old patient they'd ever seen" !  He did everything they asked him to do and didn't complain once.  This appointment took about 40 minutes (the first was an hour) and Jack got to fill his "goody bag" before we left, which he was very happy about - stickers, pencils, little plastic fish, stuffed animals.....
When we got home he had some applesauce and mac&cheese for dinner and then as a special treat Jack, Jayden & I walked to school to go to the book fair one more time.  I bought Jack two more books for being so good while getting his teeth fixed.  We got another Pete The Cat one and Jack picked out a Dora story. And after all that, Grandma GG stopped over and brought Jack some special balloons for being so brave.  She brought Jayden one too!  The boys LOVE them.

BF Open House & Book Fair!

Last night was Jack's 4K Open House and book fair - we all had a great time!
They can't wait to get inside...

Our First stop was the book fair in the basement.  It was fantastic, we got 5 books for $24!!!

They the boys ran around and jumped on some mats for a few minutes before we went up to Jack's classroom.
Jack's teacher took our family picture by the bee poster.
The school slogan is "Be Safe, Be Kind, Be Doing Your Jobs!"
Jack showing Jayden how to play a dice game at one of the tables in his classroom.
This is Jack's blue oval spot on the carpet where he sits every day!
The boys loved all the teacher's funny "pointers"  Jack showed us how they do everything at school!
This is the puppet Fred, Jack has been telling us all about him - he sings the good-bye every day!
 Jack's cubby in the hallway.
After we were done in his classroom, we went to the cafeteria where they had a snack for everyone and some bee pictures for the kids to color!

More Fall Crafts!

What a beautiful Saturday it has been!  And we have been very busy outside all day :)
Jack & I painting leaf prints
Jack did really well painting the leaves all by himself

Our finished prints!  They are beautiful!
This morning I painted the boys feet to make a candy corn picture for Halloween, they turned out really cute.  And Jayden laughed the whole time I was painting his feet because it tickled!
While I was doing my grocery shopping this morning Daddy took the boys to the park to get some pretty leaves for all our crafts, and they made these sun catchers!
